Description

San Lotano is the brand AJ Fernandez built for himself, named for the farm his family held in Cuba before the revolution. The Requiem Maduro is the darkest expression of it: an oily Mexican San Andres wrapper drawn over a Nicaraguan binder with Honduran and Nicaraguan filler, rolled at Tabacalera Fernandez in Esteli. Full-bodied and unhurried, it runs through espresso, cocoa and black pepper with a sweetness underneath that keeps it from turning harsh. Rated 92 points by Cigar Aficionado. Toro, 6 x 52.
